Thousands of spectators flock to Stanley Main Beach
each year to experience the energy and excitement of one
of the world’s most revered Dragon Boat events, the Sun
Life Stanley International Dragon Boat Competition. It is
undoubtedly one of the most anticipated events in Hong
Kong and now you have a chance to participate!
This year our Leighton team will compete against local and
international teams in the Men’s Class B warm-up race on
23 May (Sat) and the Sun Life Stanley International Dragon
Boat Championship 2015 on 20 June (Sat). Last year our
team took 1st place in Men’s B First Round, 4th place in the
most competitive Golden Cup Final and the championship
in HKIS 30th anniversary cup.
In preparation for the big races, training sessions at Stanley
Main Beach will be held every Sunday from 8 to 10am, as of
22 March (except public holidays).
Those who joined us last year, now is the time to register.
For those who are new to this activity, we are counting
on your participation to inject fresh energy to the team.
Women and men of Leighton, no matter what your level of
experience, newbies and experienced paddlers alike are
encouraged to sign up in just a few clicks via our event
page.
